International Guest Speaker: Mark Zimmermann
‘Mojo Master’ Mark Zimmermann has over 28 years of leadership, coaching and business experience across three continents, specialising in creating winning cultures & helping individuals and teams achieve and maintain their desired outcomes. Born in Cape Town and a SACS High School graduate, Mark is currently based in Sydney, Australia.
He is the founder and Managing Director of ‘On The Mark Coaching’, a team of highly qualified, solution focused coaches, who embrace a GROWTH MINDSET. Their passion and enthusiasm when taking clients on a journey of self-discovery and embracing change ultimately leads to achieving their goals and fulfilling both personal and professional aspects of their lives.
Mark discovered his passion for coaching after having been instrumental in leading teams in Senior Management and Leadership roles in a number of extremely competitive organisations, including listed companies. He is a qualified professional Motivational and Leadership Coach & keynote speaker, with a keen focus on ‘Mojo’, the very essence of what makes individuals and teams transform from good to great. Mark applies cognitive and solution-focused coaching techniques and builds relationships through mutual trust, respect and freedom of expression.
Mark practices and follows the guidelines & code of ethics as outlined by the International Coaching Federation Humility, humour and empathy are among the traits that Mark values most, and his faith and moral compass is what guides him through the good times, and keeps him on track when facing the challenging times. Mark is a huge believer in applying perspective, and, when it comes to his currency of choice, he places far greater value in time over money.
Mark has experienced life's true hardships, including deep, tragic loss on more than one occasion. Mark has realised that "rock bottom" does in fact have a basement! However, he always maintains that one can’t truly appreciate the good things in life, until you have experienced true hardship. From there, humility and perspective are born. Mark is currently battling a very rare and rather aggressive autoimmune disease which has debilitating symptoms. He lives by the mantra of “try me” not “why me?” and his resilience and approach to overcoming adversity is a strength that he loves to pass onto others. Marks absolute passion and mission in life is to help others to achieve, succeed and enjoy a completely balanced & fulfilled life both at home and work.
