- What is the name of your business and what is your role? My business is Cherish Designs and I offer freelance graphic and web design services.
- Describe your business in two sentences. I am passionate about creating beautiful websites and designs that get results for my clients. I aim to offer affordable services to entrepreneurs and small business owners to get them online and allow them to put their best foot forward.
- How long have you been in business? Since 2015.
- How did you get into this business? After the birth of my third child, I realised that a 9 – 5 wasn’t going to work for me anymore. I sold the business I was running at the time and after doing a few graphic design courses and a lot of online learning, I found myself doing work for friends and family. As my skills grew so did my client base and I have now incorporated web design to my services as there is a huge need for simple beautiful pages without the big agency fees.
- What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced, and how did you overcome it? Doing my own marketing, I have to schedule in 1 morning a week to work on it.
- What single trait/skill could you not have succeeded without? I’m not sure it’s a skill, but I have patience when it comes to tech which a lot of people struggle with. I am persistent to the point of hard-headedness and will not be defeated. Like Marie Forleo says…”Everything is figureoutable”!
- What is the best business advice you’ve received? Create multiple income streams for yourself.
- Your secret to business success is? Putting a purpose behind my passion.
- What is your business goal for 2022? To finish developing my online course and have my first launch!
- Tell us one thing that not many people know about you? I have climbed Mt Kilimanjaro!
