cecilia-moronko

What is the name of your business and what is your role? I run two businesses Paintagé (Painting, Waterproofing, Minor Renovations & Safety wear distribution) and Limbani & Associates (An HR Consulting firm)

Describe your business in two sentances. Paintagé – a business that focuses on making a lasting first impression on any architectural building.  The caption that drives what we do in our business ‘the touch that brings life’.  If we can paint it, we will do.  Our focus is customer service.
Limbani & Associates – an HR consulting firm that equips businesses with the best HR practices.  We train to equip and we consult to empower.  We implement HR practices in your business, from Job Descriptions & Policies & Procedures, to Performance Management systems that will assist you in managing performance effectively to help you reach your business target.  Passionate people will grow your business

How long have you been in business? Paintagé has been running since 2011 and Limbani & Associates has been running since 2015

How did you get into this business? My husband started on his own in 2011, and I later joined him permanently in 2014.  Before then I was working with SAB as a Business Partner.  I decided to join him full time in business to build a legacy for our children and the next generation.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced, and how did you overcome it? A couple of years ago I suffered from Lupus, and I was working full time.  The biggest challenge was maintaining a level of performance whilst dealing with an illness that required an environment that was not stressful. So managing my condition and getting support in the small circles that existed at the time. A great support system and belief that I will overcome is what pulled me through.

What single trait/skill could you not have succeeded without? Perseverance –  if you are not determined in what you are doing and what you believe in, you will fall with others

What is the best business advice you’ve received? Understand and accept that running a business is not easy.  It’s a really hard road BUT its possible.  It is possible and it is rewarding…..but it doesn’t come easy.  You need to work hard, put in the long hours and be willing to do the work that most people may not want to.  And learn from others…..sometimes you should just ‘shut-up and listen’.

Your secret to business success is? Do it right all the time. No matter how small the task is. Do it right.  If you are asked to photocopy a page…..you should photocopy and laminate the page.  That will grow you business.

What is your business goal for 2015? Paintagé – to be the preferred maintenance contractor in 4 body corporates.
Limbani & Associates – to assist 6 businesses within the KZN region with implementing HR best practices.

Tell us one thing that not many people know about you? I have run the Two Oceans Half Marathon twice and I plan to run the London Marathon before I turn 40.
