Topic: Canva for Business Owners
In this workshop we will explain how using Canva can benefit the small business owner. Details covered will include: Why you should be using Canva in your business, Easy DIY design tips, Using templates, Creating flat lays, what Canva can and can't do, and important Canva legalities.
There will be an exercise/practice session where participants can create a flatlay-styled Facebook cover. Ladies are encouraged to bring their laptops along to participate and a link will be sent out before the talk for participants to download notes and a mini PNG image bundle.
If anyone has questions they would like answered during the workshop, you're welcome to email them to me beforehand and I'll make sure they're covered during the talk. Otherwise there will be a Q&A and one-on-one hands-on help session at the end, time permitting.
Guest Speaker: Jo Petzer
Jo is a graphic designer by profession and has been in the trade for 30 years, working as an independent designer for 20 of those. Her baby, Cosmic Creations, is a boutique design studio in Cowies Hill where the main focus is on design, but has also evolved, involuntarily, into a marketing consultant.
Born and bred local, originally from 'Maritzborough, am an INTJ-A personality type, chronic introvert, grammar Nazi, and obsessive problem-solver. And I can be quite a snarky smart-ass, with a terrible potty-mouth when you eventually get to know me.
Jo and her hubby have 13 rescue cats, some of whom are employed by me on a part-time basis, the rest are spongers, but they're still cute! Her other baby, Eowyn is 23 and lives in London. Jo’s mission is to empower small-business owners to become DIY design ninjas for all the small, immediate, day-to-day stuff required to manage their social media profiles and basic marketing items. Because, really, it's a pain for you to have to wait (and pay for) all those little things from a designer that you need right now.
